Sunny Dullatur Bog
For a day trip, you will need:
No stilettos now…make sure you wear comfortable flat shoes with a good grip. Waterproof gear is always an idea although there is plenty of room inside if it rains. Dress warmer than the day dictates to compensate for the wind chill as we sail along, and remember your sun block and a hat on sunny days.
If you have any allergies, be sure to bring your anti histamines or other treatments.
Sample Schedule:

Route two:
Kirkintilloch to Falkirk
With more of a country theme, the prettiest stretch
of the Forth & Clyde canal lies between these two towns.
Rarely does the canal run so visibly and integrally through
a town centre as it does in Kirkintilloch. Then we wend our
leafy way out to Twechar, and suddenly the countryside changes
again to open hills and the infamous Auchinstarry quarry.
From there we widen still further onto Dullatur bog.

Next, an idyllic stretch of still water, till at last, we reach our first lock at Wyndford. As we approach the wheel look out for some of the gardens to port; the Falkirk residents always put on a fine show.
See the map on the Canal page.
