with an experienced skipper handling the craft. Learn the
ropes and canal code on the way…or don't. Simply relax, enjoy
the birds and the scenery and discover the Forth & Clyde

Tariff
of £420 for
2 people - for the 2 nights bed & breakfast (self
prepare).
Includes barge hire, skipper for 3 journeys, all mooring facilities,
passage of Falkirk Wheel, teas, coffees.
Another 2 passengers can be accommodated (futon arrangement)at
an additional £20 per head.
Extra night (Sunday)
at the Falkirk Wheel after an afternoon sail on the ancient
Union Canal: £80

Itinerary
This
is the recommended itinerary but Peccadillo Barge is yours
for the weekend and we can vary your schedule as required.
Friday:
13:00 - come aboard at 1 Applecross
Street.
Unpack and settle in.
16:30 - cast off and depart Glasgow
18:30 - berth at Stables country
pub
The skipper leaves you there for the night.
Saturday:
Enjoy a late lie and have time to prepare your Peccadillo
breakfast at your leisure.
11:00
- the skipper arrives to sail you to Auchinstarry
There are some stunning walks from Auchinstarry, track down
the Antonine wall, and for a night out, take the mainline
train from Croy to Edinburgh or Glasgow for some sightseeing
or evening entertainment.
Sunday:
An exciting morning of
sailing.
10:00
- Enjoy a leisurely breakfast as we
cross Dullatur Bog to Wyndford.the skipper arrives
to take you for a full morning of sailing.
c 14:00 - finish your trip at the top of
the spectacular Falkirk Wheel

We have a special offer on for festival visitors looking for accommodation with a difference. Mooring at either Edinburgh Quay or Harrison Park you are right in the city centre for your Festival Activities. Anyone booking for more than one night can arrange an evening cruise between these two locations.

The barge sleeps 2 in a comfortable double bed. An extra 2 can sleep on a fold down bed which you would make up last thing at night. Self prepare breakfast is provided and the barge would be serviced each day.
